Beautiful Holiday Egg Art Ornaments...

Christmas Tree Mishap...

My kids and I were really excited to put up the Christmas tree this year, so we got started on it on Thanksgiving. Our scrawny little Christmas tree has been a bit on the wobbly side for a couple of years now, but I was hoping I could make it last just one more season. Well...it made it through the night, but a leg on the plastic stand snapped and it literally came crashing down, ornaments and all, the next day, lol.

But I did get one last picture of it before it came to it's dramatic end. We have a little tradition...I hand the ornaments to my kids one at a time and they hang them. Well, my son Cody got bored after hanging only a few, so the majority of the first box of ornaments were hung by my daughter Abby, who is pretty tiny. I had to take a picture of the tree...I couldn't help but laugh at the placement of the ornaments. There are a few ornaments in the middle and at the top from when Cody was involved...but Abby obviously couldn't reach very high!




(And don't laugh at the extremely gaudy tree skirt...I just can't help myself sometimes! lol)



At least I had a good excuse to get a new tree. Here is our new, slightly taller, Christmas tree (after I did a little ornament re-arranging):

I Will Be Closing My Waiting List...

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be closing my waiting list on September 15th, so that I will be able to catch up on my orders. Finally Done Moving...

Vacation to Panama City Beach...

We have been dealing with a drought for some time now, and my plants haven't been looking too healthy. But yay!...we finally had a few thunderstorms (I love storms), and my flowers and veggies are looking a little happier. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures:

With Easter having come so early this year, I have to admit I was having a hard time coming up with an idea for April's Ornament of the Month...until I saw this gorgeous pastel fabric, and this month's ornament, "Watercolors", was born.

Getting Ready for Valentine's Day

I am so excited about my brand new series of ornaments, "The Sweetheart Collection", just in time for Valentine's Day. These sweet ornaments feature lots of red and pink, Valentine candy, and of course, hearts! Check them out on my website!

Finally!

Okay, so I am finally starting my blog...hooray! This is something that has been on my "to-do" list for months. So what do I hope to accomplish with this??

Well...first of all, I want to know what I can do better for my customers, so please...comment me whenever you like! I would like to know what I'm doing right, what I'm doing wrong, what you would like to see more of, and so on and so on. This will be a way for us to connect, and for me to really learn what it is that you would like to see from me. I will also be posting about specials, contests, and new collections here, so I hope you will check back often.

Secondly, I would love to get to know my customers on a more personal level. I will not only post "ornament-related" things here...I will also be posting about other topics that I hope will be of interest. Crafts, recipes, product reviews, and anything else that happens to cross my mind! If there is something you would like to see here, just let me know...I want to hear from you!

Okay, so I guess that's it for now...there are several of you who are patiently waiting for your orders, and I need to get back to work! :)
